Amanda Grae Platner and I formed Book(s) for Aesthetes in February of 2017. We wanted a community-based book club that could bring together artists, art lovers and, anyone else interested in aesthetic theory/contemporary art practices. Anyone that attends a meeting may recommend the next book we collectively read. If your selection is agreed upon you will be responsible for leading the discussion of the book at the next meeting.
Having met in a few different locations over the past year we have settled on meeting at Poem {88}. Meeting in an art space proves fruitful to our conversations.
We welcome anyone interested to come and join a discussion. If you haven’t read the book for the next meeting and would like to come, see what it’s all about – we encourage that too!
